Gabriel Miller
General Counsel
Gabriel Miller, General Counsel of The Law Offices of James Sokolove, LLC, oversees all legal activities involving the firm.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, Gabe is responsible for implementing the ongoing national growth of The Law Offices of James Sokolove, LLC. His legal oversight extends to national marketing and the relationships with affiliate firms as well as day-to-day firm operations.
Gabe served as General Counsel in a variety of industries before joining The Law Offices of James Sokolove, LLC. He was General Counsel for Captivate Network, a media company reaching over 2 million viewers each day. Prior to that, he was General Counsel for Fleet Real Estate Capital, a multi-billion dollar commercial loan originator and servicer and Senior Vice President and Senior Counsel at Fleet Bank, responsible for real estate issues involving several thousand domestic and international facilities. Gabe started his career as a commercial litigator at Cohen & Wolf.
Gabe is a contributing author to Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel published by Thomson West. He also writes a regular column for New England In-House Magazine and has trained thousands of lawyers and business development specialists in legal marketing, sales, and service.
Gabe has a B.S. from the University of Connecticut Honors Scholars Program and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Ricky Le Blanc
Manager of Quality Assurance
Ricky Le Blanc serves as the firm’s Manager of Quality Assurance. His responsibilities include overseeing and managing the quality assurance department to ensure that our affiliates are engaging best practices in civil litigation and providing the best experience for our clients within the civil justice system. In addition, Ricky ensures that the firm and its affiliates adhere to a defined set of quality criteria in order to meet or exceed the expectations of our clients and lower the risk for potential malpractice claims.
Before joining the firm, Ricky founded The Law Offices of Ricky A. Le Blanc, P.C. in January of 2000, where he limited his practice to civil and commercial litigation. He used his experience after the 9/11 tragedy as a volunteer attorney with Trial Lawyers Care, which was an organization that assisted victims of 9/11 at no charge. Prior to this, he was with the firm of Rodman, Rodman, and Sandman, P.C. representing victims in various civil matters including medical malpractice, toxic torts, product liability, and other personal injuries. He also represented individuals before administrative agencies, including, Social Security, and The Department of Industrial Accidents. Mr. Le Blanc is admitted to practice law before all courts in Massachusetts and before The Supreme Court of the Untied States of America.
Mr. Le Blanc grew up in Winchendon, MA and currently resides in Newton, MA. In 1987, Mr. Le Blanc graduated Fitchburg State College with a BS in History and Education, and in 1991, he graduated from Suffolk University Law School with a JD.
Michelle Mears
Counsel
Michelle L. Mears is Counsel to The Law Offices of James Sokolove, LLC. Michelle’s legal background includes positions in prominent Texas plaintiffs’ firms with nationwide litigation practices, as in-house counsel for an international oil, gas and petrochemical corporation, and as a member of Timothy McVeigh’s defense team in the Oklahoma City bombing case.
Michelle has helped individuals and families nationwide to recover for loses caused by the wrongful conduct of individuals, manufactures of defective products, and negligent corporations. She has worked with thousands of clients from all over the United States and several foreign countries.
Michelle is a graduate of the South Texas College of Law. She received her Bachelor's degree in International Affairs and Economics from George Washington University and her Master's degree in Spanish Language and Literature from George Mason University.
A diplomat's daughter, Michelle spent a great deal of her childhood in Latin America and Spain. Prior to becoming an attorney, she worked as a Spanish legal interpreter and translator. In addition to her graduate degree in Spanish, she was certified by the U.S. Department of Justice as a Spanish Language Specialist, and passed the F.B.I.'s Spanish interpreter's examination.
Michelle is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Association for Justice, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
