$5,500,000 Million Diet Drug Settlement
Our client, a 59-year-old teacher, took the diet drug Redux to lose weight. Redux and a similar drug, Pondimin, were subsequently taken off the market because they were linked to severe side effects. But it was too late for our client – she developed heart valve damage that led to primary pulmonary hypertension. With a life expectancy of only 5 years, our client received $5.5 million as compensation for her injuries and pain and suffering.
